Voice on the Go is a dial-in service that allows subscribers to use their voice to gain hands-free and eyes-free access to their email, calendars, contacts and other content, from any cell phone, BlackBerry® smartphone, or other Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) – safely while driving, or at any other time.

Q. Where and when can I use Voice on the Go?
A. Anytime, anywhere. Because Voice on the Go is voice-based, using only your cell phone, you can safely access your essential information with your eyes on the road or sidewalk ahead - on the daily commute, traveling, or in between meetings.
Q. How much do I pay?
A. Voice on the Go is a monthly subscription of 5.99 + applicable taxes. Calls to Voice on the Go are of course subject to your usual carrier rates.
Q. What handhelds are compatible with Voice on the Go?
A. Voice on the Go is accessible from any voice-based communications device such as a telephone, cell phone, BlackBerry® smartphone, or other Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).
Q. Does it matter which wireless network my handheld device runs on?
A. No. Voice on the Go works from anywhere you can place a phone call, including any wireless network.
Q. Do I need a specific headset to access Voice on the Go?
A. No. Voice on the Go is a dial-in service, so similar to calling voicemail; you can use a speakerphone, a headset (wireless or wired) or simply hold the headset to your ear.
Q. Do I have to download software to my handheld device to use Voice on the Go?
A. No. Voice on the Go is a dial-in service, so similar to calling voicemail; there is nothing to download to your handheld device. Once you complete registration, you will be provided with an access number that you call to use Voice on the Go.
Q. What email can I access with Voice on the Go?
A. For personal email - Voice on the Go supports most web-based emails and we're adding more all the time.
Don't know if it will work with your provider? Ask them if they offer POP3 access, or just ask us.
For business email - To access your business email, there are 2 options:
1. If your business email is POP3 enabled and your System Administrator grants you POP3 access, it is accessible when you sign up on www.voiceonthego.com. (NOTE: all emails that arrive in your Outlook Inbox will be marked as read with this option).
2. If your business email is not POP3 enabled, a Voice on the Go enterprise version is available that provides secure voice access to corporate email for companies, government and other organizations. For more information, please email us.
Q. What is POP3?
A. POP3 is a method of delivering your email to programs such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, or Eudora. Nearly all subscribers to individual Internet service provider e-mail accounts such as Yahoo!, Hotmail, and Gmail are able to access their e-mail with programs that use POP3.
Q. Is my information secure?
A. Yes. All data in Voice on the Go is fully encrypted and secure. In addition, Voice on the Go does not store your messages -- rather we act as an interface to retrieve them on demand when you ask for them. Our service is located in fully secured data center in North America.
Q. I am visually impaired. Can I use Voice on the Go?
A. Absolutely! Voice on the Go is fully accessible to visually impaired subscribers. Account set up and information screens are compliant with commonly used screen reader programs. Once setup, access to Voice on the Go is all by listening and talking.

A. Voice on the Go is available worldwide in a number of languages including English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and German
Q. Can I customize Voice on the Go?
A. Yes. You can use any computer with Internet access to login to the Voice on the Go web page to change your settings and preferences.
Q. When you access messages via Voice on the Go, do they remain in your Inbox unread?
A. Voice on the Go acts like another mail client (like Outlook, or your webmail) accessing your email server. Mail server behaviour differs when a client access email. Some mail servers will mark the email as read when Voice on the Go ‘sources’ it, so that it’s available when you call in to hear it. Examples are – Outlook on MS Exchange and Gmail. Most mail servers leave all mail as unread in your Inbox, even though you may have read them in Voice on the Go (Hotmail, Yahoo, others).
Q. Can Voice on the Go read email attachments?
A. Voice on the Go will tell you when you have an attachment, and for most, which type of document it is.
Q. Can I use Voice on the Go in a noisy environment?
A. Voice on the Go features superior voice recognition; however, when accessing Voice on the Go in an environment with ambient noise, you can mute the microphone and use Dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) commands (i.e. use your keypad to navigate Voice on the Go).
